AccessOn Internet Celebrates 100th Customer Milestone as Phase Two Construction Begins

June 4, 2026 – AccessOn Internet is proud to announce the activation of its 100th customer, marking an exciting milestone as the company enters the second phase of construction on its expanding fiber Internet network.

The milestone comes as AccessOn continues building a modern underground fiber network designed to bring fast, reliable broadband service to rural communities throughout the region. Construction on the full network will continue through 2027 as part of a USDA-funded broadband expansion initiative focused on improving Internet access in underserved areas.

“Our 100th customer represents much more than a number,” said Steve Ledford, CEO. “It represents families getting connected, communities gaining new opportunities, and the continued progress of a project we believe will make a lasting impact across our rural areas for years to come.”

Since launching service, AccessOn has focused on delivering not only high-speed Internet, but also responsive local customer support from a hometown team committed to the communities it serves.

“We are incredibly thankful for the support and trust the community has shown us,” said Jan Harris, Site Manager. “Reaching 100 customers is an important milestone for our team, but it’s really about the people and families we now have the privilege to serve every day.”

“Having AccessOn as a service provider for our family is important because they’re more than just an Internet company – they’re our neighbors,” said Robert Steverson. “For many people in our community, especially older residents, it matters that the people serving them live here, care about them, and understand our community. Broadband access is no longer something that’s nice to have; it’s a necessity for everyday life. I’m excited to be a part of this milestone as AccessOn’s 100th customer.”

Areas in southern Warren and southwestern Halifax counties can expect to see active fiber construction through 2027. AccessOn remains committed to keeping communities informed as service becomes available in new areas as construction is completed.

As AccessOn expands its network, the company remains committed to providing straightforward, affordable service options for local residents. Customers enjoy transparent pricing, no installation fees, and access to fiber Internet plans designed to meet the needs of households of all sizes.

Residents interested in learning more about service availability can visit AccessOn Internet’s website, call the local office at (252) 210-4884, or stop by at 107 E Franklin St, Warrenton, Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm, except major holidays.
